More Kingdom Hearts Titles in '07
It seems that Tetsuya Nomura has something stewing in his kitchen for 2007. In a recent interview with Famitsu, Nomura stated that there are multiple Kingdom Hearts-related projects in development.
No singular system has been confirmed for the projects, so it could end up on a multitude of platforms from the Playstation 3, Wii, 360 or even the diminutive Nintendo DS. A feature film could possibly be in the works, so who knows if it will be a theatrical release or a straight-to-DVD pressing.
What perfect avenue to resurrect Square Films, than a joint Disney effort released in the theaters? Gamers and Disney aficionados would flock to the theaters to see a full CG film with Disney branding and Square branding painted from stem to stern. It would definitely put Square Films back on the map as a veritable theater audience draw.
Good luck Nomura! There is one thing you can count on, Kingdom Hearts is a sure fire seller. You could put Kingdom Hearts 3 on a Microsoft Zune, and it would be a system seller. Okay, maybe that’s going a bit too far.

OMG! I LOVE KINGDOM HEARTS! I would love to see a Kingdom Hearts movie!
Excellent! I was worried that the series would go by the wayside since the KH team is now working on FFvsXIII (I think we need an abbreviation for the abbreviation now). I’m glad to see that SquareEnix is going ahead with its plan to make KH one of its three “cornerstone” franchises.
Er, also, one correction. Nomura said that in ‘07 there will be announcements of new titles, not the new titles themselves.
