New One Piece Game Slated To Release For Wii in 2007
I’m going to come clean here. If you couldn’t already tell from my avatar, I’m a total One Piece fanatic. For those not in the know, its a japanese manga that has been running for nearly ten years now, and is one of the most watched anime series in Japan today. America has been slightly stripped of it’s ability to truly experience the phenomenon, getting a fractured edit and dub by 4Kids on Cartoon Network’s Toonami set and a slow release of its manga by the Viz Shonen Jump label.
So imagine my pleasure in finding this, a teaser trailer for the upcoming One Piece: Unlimited Adventure for the Wii. Sure, it’s less than 10 seconds of footage, very little looks like actual gameplay, and an American release date appears to be over a year away.
But a game in which I can run around some verdant island foliage as my favorite rubber pirate, not only wearing some rather gay looking leather bracelets, but chasing after pretty pink butterflies with a bug net and going fishing with a big rod? I am so there.
