BioShock Rises From The Deep In June 2007
2K Games & Irrational Games’ BioShock, a game for which many have been waiting with bated breath for quite some time, has finally been given a release date. Or release month. Regardless, for those of us who’ve been pining for this game, a release month is good enough (you try abating your breathing for several years for a damned game, see how you feel).
It’s more than good enough.
The spiritual successor to all-time fan favorite System Shock 2 and a fine-looking game in its own right, with inspired artistic direction that takes a big fistful of “period” and a big fistful of “style” and a third (they have a lot of fists) big fistful of “creepy gory sexy action.” With fists like that, how can it lose?
The news comes to us from 1UP, who reports a post from “2K Elizabeth” that says simply:
I’ll let you in on the official word on the release date: June 2007.

I’m really looking forward to this game, I never played the System Shock games (smacks himself for you) but my boyfriend blabs on enough about them that it’s like I’ve played them :)
