Bizarre Reacts To PSP Advertising Bungle
In case you haven't heard about this little incident yet, let me ejumicate you: the above image was taken from PSPconnect.com, where it was used as a banner ad for Gran Turismo 4 HD. The only problem is that the screenshot itself is from Project Gotham Racing 3. Hoo-boy, I'll bet somebody at Sony's marketing department got fired for that.
Anyway, Bizarre Creations, the developers of PGR 3 have responded to the whole thing and they appear to have a great sense of humor:
Ben Ward, the Community & Web Lead for Bizarre Creations responded,"Whilst we're not involved in the development of GT:HD, it is flattering that Sony would use a PGR3 screenshot to promote their games. We've certainly seen a few smiles here at Bizarre. :-)"
Personally, I'd be pissed about someone stealing an image from my game, but Bizarre is showing a lot more maturity than I would in the same situation. Also, why the hell hasn't Sony canned their entire marketing department and started over from scratch? After incidents like this and AllIWantForXmasIsAPSP.com, perhaps they need to reconsider their current PR strategies.
