Cake Mania Baby!
In this month's edition of Nintendo Power (March 2007/Vol. 213), I saw a small article that talked about Cooking Mama developer, Majesco's, upcoming title, Cake Mania! This cake-baking sim brings "80 levels of confectionary creation." The screenshots look cute and as soon as I locate some for the DS, I'll put them up on the site. However, from what I've found on the internets, so far, Cake Mania is far from new and is available for download at various game sites. At any rate, Cake Mania has you play as pro-baker, Jill Evans. Her mission is to save her parent's 'mom & pop' business from 'Mega-Mart.' While working at the shop, you use the touch screen to "hand out menus, take orders, select cakes, decorate them, and collect cash."
As you make money, you can buy newer and better ovens cake decorating devices and other things to enhance those wonderful cakes. You can also buy things to decorate your shop or a TV to keep the customer's attention while you bake their cakes. The game will allow you to bake in a variety of locales and expand your business to other places, as well.
Sounds like a gay ol' time, to me! Cake Mania is due to be released in Spring of 2007. Remember, it's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake!

I played this game some time last year. It's all right. Really though it's just a ripoff of Diner Dash's popularity. Unless they have significantly altered the game for the DS version, it's not really worth the cash.
