DOA: Dead Or Alive Movie Lives Up To Ironic Title

DOA is DOA, that’s the 411 from IMDB, where the VIPs have said B-Y-E to anything but a DVD release for this P.O.S. filled with T&A.
In other words, nobody’s terribly surprised that the underwhelming franchise film DOA: Dead Or Alive isn’t heading to the big screen. I don’t suppose it helps much that they needed to spell out the title of the game…I mean, film…so moviegoers didn’t read it, aptly, as “Dead On Arrival.”
It’s a small shame to miss out on Devon Aoki as Princess Kasumi, and director Corey Yuen does have a long list of Kung Fu movies I’ll never see, but all it takes is one look at the above shot of Jaime Pressly, Sarah Carter and Holly Valance to know that this film was not, perhaps, destined for greatness. Of course, should you feel otherwise, I foresee a surplus of spare copies at your local rental place when DOA gets dumped there sometime this April.
Oh, jiggly jugglies, how thoroughly you fail to rouse my waning interest. Now, take it away, and bring me another lover!

omg.. i’m embarrased now that this actually had a cinema release in Australia!
just came out on dvd here.. classic :p it’s a it’s so bad its good.. title used to be held by street fighter – the movie.. but this is cheesier, cornier, and the only thing street fighter has over it is the group pose at the end with bisons hq exploding in the background..
other wise.. brilliance!!
Uwe Boll still gets theatrical releases…
Well, one less crappy movie to scratch off my list of crappy movies.
Poor Jaime Pressley…. she deserved better. Like a better agent, apparently.
Best AbFab episode EVER, btw. Well, OK, except for Happy New Year, but either way it’s all about Patsy’s twisted upbringing. “Cute, cute in a stupid-ass way….”
came out at our cinema i went to watch it and altho the story was pants the action was ok with some attempts at humour
Ooh I saw this. Bouncing T&A everywhere. Jaime Pressly pumped up like a man on a prison term for this flick, her body was fierce. I think the writers tried to pack everything in too tight and so the movie seemed to move at too fast a pace. In the end you just kinda go, “Whu-?”. Bad plot, good wire work and some ok cinematography. Eh, watch it just to laugh about it later.
