Double Dragon Hits XBLA With A One-Two Punch

When Double Dragon hit the arcades in the ‘80’s you were lucky to find a spot in line to play it. The game captivated arcade goers with the two player co-op feature and brutal fist-pounding action. Now, the classic quarter-crunching beat-‘em-up brawler is coming to the Xbox Live Marketplace in March. Expect to pay about 400 points for Double Dragon, but it will be worth the trip down the arcade glory lane. Just like in the arcades, a friend can join in for two player co-op over Xbox Live. You get two distinct versions of the game. “Classic” mode is for the purists, and “Enhanced” mode is for graphics whores and noobs. I know there are some whippersnappers out there who would turn their noses up to the original version, so at least you can play a version of this game and enjoy it. The gameplay will be completely identical between the two versions of the game. I have to give it to them, the “Enhanced” version looks quite nice and approachable, even to stalwart gaming purists like myself.
Check out the “Enhanced” version after the jump, for a little top and bottom comparison.

Awesome news! Let's keep our fingers crossed for Double Dragon II: The Revenge also!
Explain to me how the hell that bottom screen is in any way 'enhanced'. The enemy character (I can't remember his name - Abobo?) looks like a shriveled prune! The grass is terrible and the ground! Look at the ground!
hehe. you said "top and bottom"...
