Dragon Ball Z For The Hand To Hold

dbzds.jpg

I'm definitely a late bloomer to the Dragon Ball series. Although I've always liked anime, I was much more interested in the dramatic relationships and cute elemental magic powers contained within Sailor Moon than the endless battles of Dragon Ball Z. You may laugh at my anime sissiness, but I've since come around to shonen oriented anime, and after discovering that Eiichiro Oda's (the creator of One Piece) manga hero is Akira Toriyma (the creator of Dragon Ball), I just had to check it out. I prefer the original Dragon Ball over the one with the Z, but it is still an exciting story with great characters.

Fans of the series and it's video games will be pleased to know that Atari recently held a press release on two upcoming Dragon Ball Z titles for the DS and the PSP. Dragon Ball Z Hanakanaru Densetsu for the DS will feature card based gameplay and role playing elements, while Dragon Ball Z Shin Budokai: Another Road is a revamp of Shin Budokai for the PSP, with extra characters and moves, Wi-Fi multiplayer elements, and a new storyline centering around the character Trunks.

Emily Anadu, Project Manager of Atari, Inc. had this to say:

Newcomers and faithful fans of DBZ will be thrilled with these two new handheld games. Shin Budokai: Another Road lets players take the DBZ universe over a Wi-Fi network with an exciting new story that is sure to grab long-time fans while Harukanaru Densetsu tackles a new form of RPG with card-playing - an interesting innovation for the DBZ series that we believe will attract gamers who enjoy strategy based gameplay.

Everything makes sense now! I saw a manga that the two did awhile ago together. It was a cross over of One Piece and Dragonball Z which was pretty strange. I liked it though.
