FlOw Developer Discusses PS3 Delay

In an interview with Next-Gen, Kellee Santiago of thatgamecompany says that the delays in releasing the downloadable version of flOw for the PS3 was for nessary improvements.
With any project, you can always make it better. As you approach a deadline, you ask yourself ‘are the improvements we could make by adding more time worth pushing the date back?’ This happens a lot in the games and film industries. In this case, TGC and Sony agreed that it was worth it. Of course, you can only hope that the audience will think it was worth it, too.
This game has seen some delays since it was originally going to be downloadable on PS3's PlayStation Network in November. After some debate, SCEA claims that flOw will be released in February.
For those of you who are itching to play this game, check out the original Flash version of the title. It's just great. Jenova Chen began this project for his masters thesis at USC. The game takes place in a primordial soup of sorts. You begin as a simple organism that must eat smaller organisms to grow in length and strength. A wonderful example of the power of a simple premise with confident execution. Sony thought so too, they brought thatgamecompany onboard and have been working with them on a port to the PS3.
FlOw is sharing the spotlight with the Slamdance cometition right now. Thatgamecompany pulled their Flash version from the group of finalists in protest over Super Columbine Massacre RPG being removed from competition.
Hopefully flOw will provide some interest to the PlayStation network. All I have heard so far about the network is that it's not standardized like the Xbox Live experience. Has anyone out there used the PlayStation Network? I'm curious to hear what the users have to say about it.
