Formats? We Don't Need No Stinking Formats!

I don’t know about everyone else, but I’ve had a pretty tepid response to the Xbox Live Video Marketplace. TiVo handles most of my Adult Swim requests, and while it’s cool to have a fall-back system, I’m not just drowning in the desire to watch “CSI” or “Jericho,” and the few shows I would pay for (I mean you, “Studio 60”) aren’t offered in HD. Poop on that.
As for the movies, only about ten are offered in HD, and what with HD cable channels and regular DVDs, I just can’t work myself up to buying (and then downloading) SD movies.
So it’s nice to see some decent titles emerge in HD – Ant Bully and V for Vendetta were a nice start, but Major Nelson’s recent announcement of the arrival of a HD Superman Returns to the system came as a pleasant surprise. I still haven’t seen the flick, and now I won’t have to put on pants to do so – and it’s in an acceptable 720p resolution.
That beats DVD and it’s loads cheaper than one of them new-fangled format machines. Plus, Brandon Routh. Top that.
(No, really. Top it. I’ll wait my turn.)
Marketplace Gets Super HD [Aeropause]

Ya know Tiny I think you actually have a decent shot of Routh both seeing this and granting your request :D
Lemme at ‘em! Just spin me around and point me toward the big red butt…and this time, everyone, I do not mean Santa. Or the South Park Satan. I mean Brandon Routh.
Gimme!
Oh, Brandon Routh in HD! The sweet, sweet beauty of it all might be too much for me to bear.
::sigh::
I don’t see myself paying for downloaded movies. They won’t have any special features, and the collector in me demands having a physical hardcopy of the movie. HD is nice and all, but I can wait until either HD-DVD or Blu-Ray wins out then buy one of those players (or just use my eventual PS3 as a BRD player).
Well, I’m starting to agree.
Also, my Superman Returns download never finished, and when I checked, the HD version had been removed from XBL. WTF?
