Guitar Hero Doin' The 80's?!

Eurogamer is reporting that in the pages of the latest edition of EGM, a 1980s themed Guitar Hero will ship in the spring from RedOctane and developer Harmonix. No platforms were announced in the report but I think we can safely assume that the PS2 will be on the guestlist.
You’ll recall that Guitar Hero II was recently announced for the Xbox 360, so I somehow doubt the new edition will be released for that console, given the close proximity of it’s release and the online support for GH II via Xbox Live. In other words, I would like to guess that this new game that is supposed to be coming out this spring might just be an update for the PS2 with the 360 receiving the same thing through the Marketplace…but that is just my guess. EuroGamer contacted RedOctane UK’s reps and received no solid answer other than an official announcement would be made very soon.
...but what we really want to know is will we be able to play songs from the Culture Club!? ...and no, this announcement does not give you an excuse to break out those denim jackets with shoulderpads, the powder blue windbreaker with pink accents, your craploads of hairspray and poofy hair.

Depeche Mode, please.
(Even though they didn’t really start using guitars until the 90s; oh well, i guess….)
I want Foreigner’s I Want To Know What Love Is for no real reason.
My panties just got damp. Flock of Seagulls…Blondie…Bon Jovi…THE CLASH! Holy shite. This could be amazing!
OMG! That picture is so funny!
