Guitar Hero II 360 Bundle Pics
Red Octane has released pics of the upcoming version of Guitar Hero II for the Xbox 360. The bundle sports a new guitar style and, according to the box, additional songs and downloadable content.
It looks pretty slick, but I’m not digging the whole white theme here. I understand them wanting it to match the 360, but I think the black and red themed box for the PS2 was much more rockin’.
I’m a huge Guitar Hero Fan, but unless the “additional songs and downloadable content” are really kick ass, I think I’ll stick with the regular GH I & II for PS2. GH is an awesome party game and is practically the only game I can get my non-gamer boyfriend to play, so it gets extra points in my book. Is anyone else out there a Guitar Hero junkie or am I the lone gay shredder?

I would love to have this game, but I’m always turned off by the steep price. Stupid grad school budget, grumble grumble.
Whatever, you just don’t want the 360 version because you hate Microsoft and you’re a Sony fanboy. GayGamer is biased!!

I actually like the white better than the black/red. I may end up getting this. I’d already own the PS2 version if the price weren’t so intimidating.

I already own GH1 and 2 on the PS2, and while the thought of a 360 version makes me drool and twitch uncontrollably, I can’t justify buying the same (pricey) game on two systems. So I too will wait until “additional songs and downloadable content” is more explicitly defined.
Or maybe I should just wait until GH3 :D
YAY This is great news! I’ve never played the PS2 version of either GH 1 or 2 b/c we’ve got a DLP TV and I don’t have component cables for the PS2 so there’s that little (hellish) delay between button-press and results on-screen, so GH was never possible. Can’t wait until this comes out so I can finally play it!
I played GH2 once at my friend’s house and fell in love with it. I hoped to buy it after Christmas with some gift cards I got, but the stores were sold out. I ordered GH1 online, though ($15 less than GH2) and am eagerly waiting for it to come.
I mean to get the GH2 bundle (for the PS2) and a used copy of GH1, but it’s down the list a ways after my backlog of Wii and DS games. It would be further up the list, except that I do play actual guitar a bit and am concerned that I’ll find it incredibly frustrating.
Looked awfully fun in BB and CC though. Drew crowds in both places. And you can’t beat “War Pigs” in my book.

If I can download Ziggy Stardust and play it with GHII’s co-op mode, I’ll buy a 360 just for that.
I love me some Guitar Hero. I believe it’s the reason I got a PS2. I can’t get anyone to play with me though.

THE PS3 SHOULD WORK OUT OF THE BOX WITH BOTH OF THESE GREAT GAMES (GUITAR HERO & GUITAR HERO 2). SUCKS.
