Microsoft Listening To We The People?
Hi Gang! Welcome to our new digs! Forgive us our hiccups as we get settled in...we're all still a little dizzy from that twister. What happened? Hey, did my house land on your sister? No, that's the grizzled jerky of a tough-to-swallow story coming from Xboxic, which has the Xbox team suddenly very interested in the opinions of the masses. Is that a new color for Microsoft?
Seems that with the advent of Live on Windows, the world of Xbox wonders what will become of itself once its networking and connectivity platform is no longer hermetically sealed. I don't blame it one bit, but it's quite a sight to see two big Xbox fellas come out with such sensitive requests as Andre AKA Ozymandias asking about the future of Xbox Live on his blog:
“I’m doing some thinking around the future of “Xbox Live”. I put Xbox Live in quotes only because Live will be stretching beyond the console this year with the release of Live on Windows, and we’re looking at a future where multiple devices will all be able to connect into the same service. My question to you is what big features would you want to see out of Live in the future?”
What trumps that? Major Freaking Nelson expanding that question to cover the Xbox 360 and Xbox.com:
With your input, you have helped mold what the service is today. You talk, we listen…that’s one of the ways we get feedback. I get a couple of hundred emails each week suggesting new Xbox Live features and I pass those onto the developers here in the building…so we are listening”.
Well? They're listening. I wouldn't expect the portal to the Xbox homeworld to be opening again any time soon, weary travelers, so if you've got something to say, say it loud and proud!
