RedOctane Swaps Out Harmonix for Neversoft

RedOctane has decided to take away Harmonix's guitar and hand it over to developer, Neversoft. Proof of this can be seen on Neversoft's website, which has an illustration showing that there are positions available for both the Guitar Hero development team and Tony Hawk's Project 8. A source to GameDaily BIZ indicated that the positions listed for Guitar Hero are, indeed, for the third installment of the series.
Now, whether this is the rumored 80's edition of Guitar Hero remains to be seen. We'll be on the lookout for any news regarding this development. Especially any explanation as to why RedOctane has decided to switch developers after Harmonix (Frequency, Amplitude, Karaoke Revolution) made two phenomenal sellers from the series.
Breaking: Guitar Hero Development Goes to Neversoft [GameDaily BIZ]

Didn't MTV buy Harmonix? That would be my guess for why Red Octane would dump them.... or maybe MTV was maneuvering to get ownership of Guitar Hero.
Honestly if MTV thought that they would get Guitar Hero by buying Harmonix they were retarded.
I am saddened by this because I love Harmonix, but honestly, now that the GH formula is in place, a lot of developers could do it. And Neversoft is a good company.
This means I won't have to play GH3 with a track list full of crappy MTV songs now.
I would've loved for Harmonix to stay at the helm, simply because I love all the bonus tracks that come from Harmonix staff members and their bands.
