Return Of Okami Tattoo
The world, my younglings, is even tinier than I. Some of you may remember when Okami hero Amaterasu first visited the world of men and their legs, she was fresh off a rather mortal painting technique that uses sub-dermal ink injections rather than, say, Issun’s brush.
The tattoo was originally featured on Kotaku, but Eric, the proud bearer of the manflesh in question (and total hottie), was kind enough to slip me a follow-up pic bearing the irresistible tag: “Ammy’s got fur now.”
Indeed, the Shinto sun goddess is looking all healed-up and right at home on Eric’s calf – you can see awesome shading detail, especially oranges and reds in the divine flames that weren’t as visible beneath inflammation and ointment before. (Not that I’m rethinking my ancient alliance with ointment, mind you…) The lines of Ammy’s black wolf bits now read clearer too, and the fur doesn’t hurt either!
As if the world couldn’t get much smaller, the tat was inked by Yoni Z. from New York Adorned, which lies just a few blocks south of Rancho Tiny, the East Village pied-à-terre from which I’m currently penning this missive.
And here, at last, my own ink runs dry.
[Thanks, Eric!]

Looks way better now.
Huzzah!
