Rumor Mill: Wii Remote Improvements In Development
Tracking down the ever elusive Wii remotes has almost been as difficult as tracking down a Wii console. Store inventories have been depleted almost as soon as they have been restocked. According to Japanese publication Game Lab, Nintendo is working on a few improvements to the Wii remote. Fortunately Nintendo has been working on improving the grip for those slippery buggers, and a rechargeable battery. Hopefully this means no more broken plasma screens, and raping personal electronic devices of their precious energizing fruit.
True to form, Nintendo is keeping their trap shut on this matter. They have been pretty responsive to consumers needs with improving the Wii remote straps, now going on their third generation. I imagine that they are addressing these problems with another generation of Wii remotes. The new remotes should not make the original Wii remotes obsolete.
Personally, I have never had a problem with the original remote, but as with most devices there is always room for improvement. What would you like to see Nintendo work on for the Wii remote 2.0? Colors, flavors, shapes? Be creative.

How about a better speaker? The speaker is a genius idea and I love it, but damn is that thing tinny. I'm sure the samples themselves are tiny, but I can't help but imagine the speakers themselves aren't much better.
A microphone seems to be the only obviously missing thing. The Wii so totally should have had a karaoke game from day one. I'm still holding out hope for a mic head attachment to go on the peripheral port.
Realistic veins, definitely.
