Saturday Morning Cartoons: Earthworm Jim

Ray guns, random cows, and invertebrates, in 1994 these unlikely ingredients came together to create one of the most popular, best animated, and straight-out bizarre video games the unsuspecting world had ever seen: Earthworm Jim. One year later, the worm rage netted Jim a television debut and—as is often the case—a little something got lost in translation (best evidenced by the theme song and “groovy” catch phrase). But with characters like Princess What's-Her Name, Professor Monkey-For-A-Head (my personal fav), and Queen Pulsating, Bloated, Festering, Sweaty, Pus-filled, Malformed, Slug-for-a-Butt, the animated adventures of Earthworm Jim have a hard time being forgotten. So, nab your super suit, strap on your rocket engine, and hit the link for a half hour of the most famous megadrile in video gaming!

Holy Crap, I was *just* thinking about this show last night... weird.
Yeah, grew up with this show and game. i remember thinking that the show should have been funnier, but I still loved it, especially with the whole "queen pulsating puss filled blah blah slug for a butt" name thing.
As far as cartoons though, it was all about the Pinky and the Brain.
