Sonic Almost Confirmed In Super Smash Bros.: Brawl?

Rumors have been swirling about for some time now that Sonic the Hedgehog (as if there’s another Sonic) will be making an appearance in Super Smash Bros.: Brawl. Today, it was almost confirmed in Swedish publication, +N. The article simply lists who will be in SSBB. Now, whether this is a rumor, wishful thinking or truth (which would be mighty nice…mmm Sonic vs. Mario), we do not know…but I would say it’s merely speculation until something more concrete comes along.

Swedish magazine states Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as fact – are they right? [GoNintendo]

Im pretty sure Sonic is in it. i think it was miyamoto that said Sonic was the most requested 3rd party character in the suggestion thing they did in japan a while back. also he later said in october that it would be very interesting to see sonic in the game. That’s shigeru sneak talk. he’s a creator who likes to present surprises to people and like most creators likes to drop sly hints and half truths to keep people on their toes. so the real question is. Who is the 3rd, 3rd party character?

Being a Swede I can tell you that +N is a COMPLETE shite magazine.

I have no respect whatsoever for the magazine and I would never take anything unconfirmed that they write as true. They would never get some exclusive information from developers or publishers since they are not anywhere near the most respected game magazines in Sweden.

So, it’s untrue :P

(I HATE previewing comments before I can post them – makes me screw up all the time. ignore the earlier comment)

Konami made dance dance revolution with mario … so it has Snake!

Sega made f-zero gx/ax… so there is an AWESOME chance of Sonic

Namco made Mario kart for arcades and star fox assault … so there is also a GREAT chance of Pacman (maybe with mspacman as an alternate costume ? xD) ..

...but … SquarEnix made Mario Hoops 3-on-3 … and i DOUBT that …any square enix char will appear (maybe someone from mario rpg …) =/

and a Capcom studio made Zelda Minish Cap .. but i don’t think that megaman has a chance.. even thinking of the Captain N times xD

I saw a video in computer class for Brawl that showed gameplay of both Sonic and Shadow. And with this now, looks like it’s gonna be a fact. Can’t wait man!
