The 2006 GayGamer Reader's Choice Awards!

Now that you’ve all had time to spend with your games from the holiday season, it’s time for you to select your favorites from last year. We pooled nominees (only games that we have actually played) from the fellow writers for 16 categories (also from suggestions by the residents of GG Castle) and made some difficult choices about which would be listed for the First Annual GayGamer Reader’s Choice Awards! We’ve made our decisions, now it’s up to you to make your voices heard.

The GayGamer Reader’s Choice Awards

Did you guys not play Elite Beat agents or something? Seriously, it deserves to be on the lists for Best Handheld, Best Gameplay, and Most Creative Design.
Disgaea 2, Lego Star Wars 2, and Me & My Katarmi don’t deserve to be even close to “Most Creative Design” seeing that each of these sequels are nearly identical to the versions we played last year.
Me and My Katamari doesn’t deserve anything; it’s by far the worst game of the series. The first one deserved all the attention it got and more, but now we have Elebits.
I can see the point of Lego Star Wars 2 because the first one was based on the crappy, humorless latter-day movies, making it almost unintentional self-parody, whereas the sequel tackled the original ones and not only captured their wit but built on it.
But I think they just loaded it up with sequels to make sure a PSP game (Loco Roco) would win SOMETHING.
