The Dreaminess That Is Cabel
While some of my fellow GayGamer writers in the pink palace clearly have a crush on GameJew, I have fallen head over heels for Cabel and his blog Cabel.name. What can I say? I’m a sucker for thick glasses and a receding hairline!
I first began feeling the thumps of a crush when my boyfriend directed me towards Cabel’s review of the DS Lite. Hearing his well-spoken voice and perfect hands describe and touch the pretty white machine is an experience that must not be missed. He’s clearly a Nintendo fanboy, and this makes him very endearing.
But this, this takes the cake. Coming up with musical theater after recording some gaming footage of the bugging out Saint’s Row is an idea so far beyond perfect that it enters the sublime. Watch the video below or see the higher quality version at his blog, and try not to burst into laughter in the final third.

That being said that sounded an AWFUL lot like Ben Folds didn’t it?
Very funny…..though on the Hottie sweepstakes Cabel does not stand a chance against the mighty cute munchkin that is GameJew!
I can’t wait for the casting call for Saint’s Row the musical. I’m going to polish up my vocal chords with On My Own from Les Mislerables, ‘til I see Jean Valjean in a fever dream.

I ran across this yesterday morning, early, and woke my partner up in the other room by laughing so hard (yes, at the third part).
While the footage basically highlights three outrageous bugs, it’s the music that makes this. Obviously Cabal is a fan of musical theater and I’m guessing this is by far not the first thing he’s written. The phrasing is great, lyrics are memorable, the melody is light and breezy. You know it’s a great piece when you sing it to yourself for the rest of the day. This makes day two of suffering [loving?] from this earworm.
Best moment—the dramatic bridge before and leading into the third movement, “What is this place?”
If he doesn’t win some award for this, I need to create one and honor him with it.
