Battlestar Galactica Coming To XBLA
TeamXbox has brought forward some exciting news that Sierra Online is bringing a game inspired by the current Battlestar Galactica television series. The new game will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade and the PC this fall. As of now, you will be able to download "Gamer Pics and Themepacks from the show on Xbox Live® Marketplace...." Here's a bit more on the game and what will be available:
Developed by Australian-based Auran Games, Battlestar Galactica will feature both single- and multi-player modes and allow the player to take part in intense space battles as a pilot for either the humans or Cylon forces. Legendary ships from the television show will be featured as well as missions based on favorite episodes.
Sierra Online president, Ed Zobrist, says they are huge fans of the series. With a statement like that, I'm expecting a quality product that is very true to the series. Maybe there will be a mini-game called 'Take the Towel off Capt. Apollo'...mmmm. At any rate, I love it when I get people hooked into the series. As a buddy of mine put it, it's like letting them in on a great secret. If you have not watched the series, I absolutely recommend it. Here's a little blurb from the article:
