Gears Of War Aiming At The PC...One Day

Team Xbox gets the dirt from Epic Studios' Mark Rein that Gears of War will one day appear on a PC near you. But not terribly soon. Surprised?
"The big challenge is to make a game that was designed solely for the console, to take advantage of every last little corner of that console, to fill every little crack and run as many threads as we could and do as much to exploit the power of that machine, and make it run well on enough PCs to be worth releasing. That's a challenge."
"Fill every little crack" indeed, Marcus Fenix. As I stamp out my idiotic giggling, I gotta admit my general lack of enthusiasm for late ports. No matter how "special" Jade Empire: Special Edition is, it's still a day late and a dollar short in my book. Even if you're dying to play the game and don't have an Xbox, isn't there likely to be something more timely to get psyched about a year or so after the initial game's release? Not that there's anything wrong with delayed ports of "exclusive" titles, it just seems like a bit of a cheap shot to expect players to get amped twice for the same game.
If I'm off base, please call me stupid and spank me. Pretty please?

Tiny, I'm afraid to say You're spot-on. I felt the same when while testing Turok 3 for the PC. (A whopping 4 years after console debut)
Even though I agree with you... Can I still give a spanking?
