Ghostbusters Game From Universal

After the recent Zootfly produced Ghostbusters videos hit the net, Sony swooped down to ensure those demos were not sanctioned by Sony and Zootfly didn’t have the rights to continue development of the game. The demo videos looked rock solid, and proved that Zootfly would take the subject matter seriously to create an engaging experience. Although some saw the videos as a promotional stunt to get their studio some attention, while they work on their other project TimeO.
Many Ghostbusters fans were concerned that they would not see a Ghostbusters game on current gen systems. The last time a Ghostbusters game was released was New Ghostbusters II for the NES and Ghostbusters for the Genesis in 1990.
In an interview with the Edmonton Sun, Dan Aykroyd announced that he will be reprising his role as Dr. Raymond Stantz for a brand new Ghostbusters game.
Universal purchased the rights from Sony for a game. I'm actually going to have to perform and do some motion capture for them. That will be next year.
No details have been released concerning which development studio will work on the game or platform. As soon as we get any more details about this, we will report it tout suite.
On a side note, Aykroyd will also be providing his voice for the full CGI animated film, Ghostbusters III.
