Yet Another Zelda Tattoo, Because We Cannot Help Ourselves

This Zelda-inspired tattoo has got to be one of the most intricate pieces of work (that is game related, at least) that I've seen in a while. The rich color and the stained-glass-ish look to it really appeal to me. Would I ever do it? No...looks painful. Perhaps a certain resident tattoo connoisseur (El Brute de Frutas) would be more adventurous? According to the original poster of this tattoo, it's only 90% done and still has "to get the sunburst black-lined and there is an unshaded triforce that covers the underarm that isn't pictured here." Fruit Brute and I agree that Link looks a bit like the Virgin Mary with the angle he holds head at. What are your thoughts? Got any tattoos of your own? Put them in forums for all to see or email us!
For now, I'm off to battle Mardi Gras traffic (gotta see about getting a God of War 2 demo, for myself), which reminds me to wish y'all a Happy Mardi Gras! For a larger pic of the tattoo, make the jump.

I think the Virgin Mary resmblance was intentional, especially considering the stained-glass look and the halo-like sunburst. Very lovely though.
link ain't a girl, mary!
i love zelda and all, but not too sure about him in tattoo form....
This tat is not spoofing the virgin mary, but St. Michael. I can see how you would think mary because we most often see mary represented this way, especially in South American Catholicism, but any Saint can be the subject of art like this.
Oh, this could also be St. George. Both George & Michael are depicted as dragonslayers.
