Hellboy? Hell Yeah!

Comic book nerds rejoice! During E3 last year, we all heard the Hellboy game was coming, but at the Konami Gamers’ Day last week, they finally showed off some gameplay and gave hands-on time for the no-name, no-release-date title. What we know: The game isn’t based on the 2004 Guillermo del Toro-directed film, and it’s also not based on the upcoming 2008 sequel. It's actually a collaboration between creator Mike Mignola, del Toro, movie company Revolution Studios and Australian-based developer Krome Studios, with an original storyline and with Hellboy actor Ron Perlman set to do the voice. Also, it seems that in addition to playing the hot-headed demon, you’ll be able to play Abe Sapien (my favorite) and Liz Sherman. The 3D brawler contains fully destructible environments, has Hellboy using his Right Hand of Doom and his gun ("The Samaritan") upon a variety of enemies and is set to come out on Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP in the fall of this year. Take the jump to watch some sweet gameplay videos for the Xbox 360 and PSP; it looks very promising.

Sweet. Love the destructable environments. Busting through those two walls of the house as bad ass.
