It's Gonna Be A SimCity Summer
You know, I lost interest in SimCity sometime before Courtney Love murdered her husband, but I can honestly say that SimCity DS looks like it will revive my flagging interest in the old colored-tile management game... In addition to some perkily Nintendo-appropriate graphical touches, the game will let players behave in some new ways - such as blowing into the microphone to extinguish rampaging fires or using the stylus to sign proclamations with a mayoral flourish. Expect wireless features to be elaborated upon in future updates...hopefully.
With the arrival of both Spore and SimCity on the DS, 2007 looks like another blockbuster year for the DS. Expect SimCity DS to hit the states sometime this summer.
The one thing I always wanted most when playing any of the SimCity game was a second screen...whether the DS will answer that prayer straight-up or with a side of irony due to its small screen acreage is yet to be seen.
Anybody else excited to relive the good old days?

Thinking back SimCity was the first video game I got addicted too. My first intro to the franchise was on a friends computer some time in the early 90's. Its never gone away for me. I always find me self returning to the latest version. I can't wait for the DS version so I will finally be able to take my favorite game on the road with me. That and the rumored Wii version would just cap of the year.
I cannot wait for this game! SimCity on the SNES was one of my favourite games. I still actually go back and play it at least once a year. It'll be sweet to have it on handheld.

I am a massive fan of all things SimCity. I even used to have a blast playing around with the Terrain Editor on the Tandy! To this day, I still will spend hours in SimCity 4 on the weekends. You can bet your bottom (or top) that I'll be getting it on the DS.
mm... can't wait for it to come out now. this is a must buy for me!
Now all we need is Roller Coaster Tycon (2d or 3d version) for Ds, oh sweet bliss that would be.
