MTV Cruising For Gay Gamers

Those of you who frequent our forums may have already seen this call for gay gamers by MTV, but if you didn't see it, allow me to elucidate. MTV News is doing a story on gay gamers and they are looking for smart, funny and well spoken individuals to talk a bit about their experiences of being gay in a straight gaming world. I have listed the casting call notice below so you can see what they are looking for for yourself. Maybe you'll be the next big gay MTV star!
From MTV:
If you're gay and love video games, MTV News wants to talk to you about a story we're doing on "gaymers". The recent controversy around the popular PS2 game, "Bully"--in which the main character, Jimmy, can hook-up with guys as well as girls--has shed new light on the place of gays/lesbians in video games and the gaming community.
In your reply, tell us about yourself. What are your favorite games that feature gay themes or characters? How do you feel about the heterocentric (and often homophobic) culture of gaming? Do you think there should be more gay characters in video games? Do you know other "gaymers" and, if so, have you met them through online networking sites like gaygamer.net or gaymer.org?
In your response, please include your full name, age, location, contact information, and a recent photograph.
Please reply to mtvnews@mtvstaff.com.

It sounds like an interesting idea, except for the fact that MTV has a background in twisting information. I suppose if they want to show gay gamers in a positive light, they'll be good, but if they're looking for shlock, you might be in for a surprise when the show goes on the air.
The one thing I learned about news and broadcasting from working in the news and broadcasting business is that journalism loves to doctor interviews to make them more interesting. This includes leaving out key pieces of information.
This is a networking site? Geez, I haven't even tried to hook up with ANYone....
'S there an age limit on this?
