New Simpsons Movie Trailer!
Ok, ok, I know this has next to nothing to do with video games (and to anyone who played those 90's Simpsons games, let's agree that that is a blessing), but come on! It's the Simpsons! Movie! Coming out in July!
There have been a number of shorter trailers for this, but this is the newest and the only one so far that has actually made me excited. And unlike some recently aired episodes that have secretly made me think it is time to put the show to rest, seems to have a well written script. I'm also tickled pink that although there is some element of 3-D animation, it appears to mostly be traditional animation, which is a welcome change from the endless line of Pixar wannabes that seem to muddy our screens every year.
You know you want to see this. And to all of you who prefer the Family Guy, know that there would be no such thing without the groundbreaking work of that yellow family in Springfield, located snugly between Ohio, Nevada, Maine and Kentucky.

I've watched the trailer six or seven times since seeing it Sunday night during a commerical break of the Simpsons. I'm excited and more so with this trailer. It looks to be going out with a bang and whatever that secreat is.... I wanna know.
the simpsons should have been cancelled since season 12. now, dont get me wrong but im a huuuuuuuuuuuuge simpsons fan. but for all of you who cant remember what a good episode of the simpsons was, look back at season 4-7 and you'll see just how amazing a show it used to be. im going to see the movie, although i doubt itll be good. but the fall of this show is a slow and painful one
Dude, the Simpson arcade game was AWESOME! How can you say not playing it is a blessing!?
I can't wait to see the movie, especially after watching the trailer Sunday. Its going to be awesome.
I LOVED The Simpsons arcade game! I spent an entire roll of quarters on it, one time, and STILL died when I was so close to killing Smithers. I'd say 'beat Smithers,' but Alex Ward (Black), would not approve.
I love it how we see so many different scenes, but there's almost no conceivable way to tie them all together...just like a regular episode!
While I agree the show is past its prime, it is still a very enjoyable show. It's not like there is a continuity for the later seasons to destroy.
"I'd say 'beat Smithers"
Smithers would like a good beating...off.
My major complaint with this series isn't that it's past its prime (though there is a serious case for that) because there are always some episodes that still really make me laugh post "Golden Age Seasons". For instance the episode the trailer was on "Springfield Up" was very good. It's just that...they ran out of things to write about. All of the great wonderful stories have been written already but ANY series would go through that...its just plain, simple writing basics. Every story has a beginning, middle and end.
Having said that everyone around here is interested in that gorgeous church scene.
What's Bart playing at?
Okay, i wasnt excited for this movie at all until seeing this trailer. WIN!
Ohhhh look a Simpsons movie!.......how do we know it's a movie?.....it has loads of explosions!......sorry this looks decidedly naff (and 16 years too late) give me another Stewie & Brian road episode over this anyday......
Even though its like Pirate said, had it not been for the Simpsons, there would be no Stewie and Brian road episodes, period.
