Rumor: Okami Stroking The Wii?

This is a bit of a stretch, but it's a stretch that'd make approximately 1.67 batrillion gamers scream out at once in rapture: Okami on the Wii. From IGN:
However, when we asked Capcom UK for confirmation of Okami's move to Wii we got this response: "Officially we have no plans for Okami on Wii at this time. Research and development are always looking at possibilities but given Clover is now closed for business, I think it highly unlikely a Wii version would be possible."
So there you have it - officially it's not happening but it's by no means a flat-out denial. And even with the closure of Clover Studios it wouldn't be that difficult for a team to port it across, particularly when you consider a lot of Clover staffers are likely to head over to Capcom once the studio finally shuts its doors next month.
Niero at Destructoid points out that such a move would address "the drought of non-casual games on the Wii," and I'd fully agree that the Wii could beef up its hardcore quotient a bit, but I wonder if the play style of Okami, perfect fit for the Wii that it is, might be too similar to that of Zelda.
Whatcha think?

I think as long as it has widescreen and progressive scan support, I'm all OVER it.
What a desaster they closed down Clover - Just got my european copy of Okami last week and am loving it's visual style, gameplay and story, it's screaming for a WII port for the painting-bits though.
