Ricky, Julian and Bubbles Could Be Paying A Visit To Your Favorite Console!

Be still my beating heart! Long have I yearned to pour forth my words of love for Trailer Park Boys. But, there hasn't been a way to even remotely link it to games....Until now! Trailer Park Boys is one of my favorite shows, so when my co-worker Clint sent me a link to an article about a possible TPB game, I was naturally intrigued.
Canadian game company HB Studios, in collaboration with the show’s developers, TPB Productions, recently entered The Great Canadian Video Game Competition with their TPB game appropriately titled, Trailer Park Boys: The Game. The game concept was one of ten finalists chosen from sixty-nine entries from around Canada.
Each finalist received $50,000 to continue developing their ideas and after another round of judging at the GDC, four of those ten will be given another $250,000 to create prototypes of their games. Eventually, the final four will come back to compete for a $2 million prize to actually make their dream a reality.
The Trailer Park Boys concept was well received by all the judges and was only one of two entries to really make them laugh out loud. An HB spokeswoman, Melanie Williams, talked a bit about the game with The Chronicle Herald.
Controlling Ricky, Julian and Bubbles in a video game! From authentic character commentary to riding around in Julian’s car and interacting freely with shopping carts, it has fun written all over it. The game will combine fun and compelling mechanics with the brilliant humour and rich world of Trailer Park Boys.
Sounds like pretty standard marketing jargon to me, but I have high hopes for the possibilities of this game. Of course it could end up being the next Family Guy Game, but I'd buy a copy of it anyway, if for no other reason than to further my TPB collection which right now consists of the season 1 & 2 DVD's and a poster of Julian (swoon!).
If you haven't yet seen TPB, I highly suggest checking them out. The characters are hilarious, the scripts are a riot; full of gun fights, foul language and lots of overt drug references. Yet at it's core, there's real heart and characters who are well developed and really care about each other. All the elements that make, in my opinion, a truly great TV show.

If you haven't seen it, make sure you find copies of the Canadian broadcast version, not the lame censored version shown on cable in the US.
This is a game I would definitely want to check out, and it better be rated M or AO, otherwise they wouldn't be doing the show justice.
If you're interested in watching any of the episodes or special extras we have them all here---> http://www.tpbusa.com
All are welcome! Enjoy. I hope you don't see this as spam. I thought it quite relevant.
I posted about the possible of the game on my girl gamer site, because I figure no one on Dtoid would know the show.
I am so glad to see a story about it on here. You rule!
I have loved them for quite a while now. Not many Americans know of them, but they make me ever so happy! faith, will you send me some sweet TPB swag? PLeeeeeease?!
Is it wrong that I'm totally hot for the guys on either side? Should I talk to my rabbi?
