Shame on You, Jack Thompson!

GamePolitics is reporting that our favorite Miami lawyer and anti-videogames crusader Jack Thompson will face a disciplinary hearing before a referee of the Florida Supreme Court. The upcoming review follows the Florida Bar’s recommendation that five counts of professional misconduct against Mr. Thompson should advance to the state supreme court.
Among the counts of misconduct facing Thompson, three are directly related to the activist attorney’s ongoing campaign against video game violence. Those counts involve Thompson’s participation as plaintiff’s attorney in Strickland vs. Sony, a high-profile lawsuit he brought against several video game industry defendants in Alabama in February, 2005.
If the charges are upheld, Mr. Thompson could receive disciplinary action as well as dismemberment. I mean, disbarment. Yeah, disbarment.

GOOD!
I said it on GamePolitics, and I'll say it here, it could very well be the beginning of the end for Jack Thompson.
I doubt it. The guy's managed to wriggle out of too many damning situations before for me to truly get my hopes up. If he does get disbarred, though, I'm totally throwing a party.
....if he loses, i'll be happy that we wont have to listen to him bitch anymore and we could game in peace. but then again, if he loses, his life will be screwed over, and i admit it, i'll feel bad for him.
So what? He can still be an ass without a license to practice law in Florida. This will just be a little speed bump for him. He'll twist it around to his advantage in some stupid way.
