Take the Old Spice Challenge... With Your Xbox 360

Mere bragging rights aren’t enough for some people to care about Xbox’s achievements. So Microsoft heeds your complaints and continues to shake its money-maker by joining forces with, of all companies, Old Spice:
Xbox 360 is teaming up with Old Spice to bring the first Rewards Challenge to Xbox Live. Gamers will be charged with increasing their gamerscore by 1,500 between February 12 and April 12, 2007. That’s 60 days to bring your overall gamerscore up by 1,500 for the chance to earn a bounty of rewards. In order to participate, you need to have a valid Windows Live™ ID with your Xbox LIVE® gamercard linked, be a legal resident of the 50 United States and District of Columbia (expect future challenges to be global in scope) and at least thirteen years-old.
And the “bounty of rewards”? It depends on your current gamerscore. The higher your current gamerscore, the better the prizes. They include: Contra for Xbox Live Arcade (worth $5), Microsoft points and an exclusive Old Spice Challenge gamer picture. And for the 10,000+ gamerscore folks, you'll also get Fusion Frenzy 2 and (oh boy!) an Old Spice T-shirt.
Okay, so the rewards aren't exactly mind-blowing, but it's a step in the right direction in terms of gamers finally getting something worthwhile for all those hard-earned achievements. Get the full details on the challenge here, and perhaps play a few of these games to help you on your journey. Who’s up for the challenge?

Well, here it is 4:30 pm Mountain Time on Feb. 12 and there's no place up on the Xbox.com page to register for this. Another fine example of Microsoft dropping the ball and not delivering.
