The Dark Tower Midnight Launch

Stephen King. Magic. Comics. Stephen King. Guns. Marvel. Stephen King. There's a lot on this list to get excited about. In a few short hours, the first part of the comic adaptation of Stephen King's masterwork, The Dark Tower, hits the shelves and there's a good chance that your friendly local comic shop will be open to sell it to you.
To celebrate the launch of the ground-breaking new comic book series adapted from Stephen King's magnum opus, The Dark Tower, Marvel Comics will offer a first-ever midnight release of The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #1 the night of Tuesday, February 6, 2007. Nearly 150 retailers across the country will open at midnight on Tuesday (effectively 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007) so Stephen King fans can get their hands on the debut issue of this historic comic.
You can check right here to see where you can feed your midnight craving for dark fantasy and cowboy hats, or read all about the world of The Gunslinger and its graphic adaptations on Marvel's Dark Tower site. Oh, and you might want to buy two. Just a guess, but the first comic offering of the best-selling author ever just might be worth something someday.

I'm interested in seeing how this goes, but it'll take them 10 years to adapt the entire series into a comic book, if not longer.
These books are hot sex wrapped around a stick sprinkled with more hot sex. Anybody who has not yet read them should do so immediately. I'll wait...
They're not adapting the entire DT series into comic format. The first miniseries will be Roland's backstory from Book 4, and the series after that will be original stories of the young gunslinger.
