7. Hazlik and All Red Wizards – D&D, Ravenloft/Forgotten Realms
Style-obsessed, fickle, body-shaving wizards who want to rule the world and who only wear red. You don't get much louder than the Red Wizards of Thay.
From their ranks we've got another literal one. Hazlik, Red Wizard and Darklord of Hazlan in Ravenloft, is a gay. When he got caught in some arcane hank-panky (you'd be amazed what you can do with those summon monster spells) his competitors tattooed him with symbols that, in Thayan, essentially mean "I'm a girl." Poor guy. (Although other stories say that he was just a little too loud and proud for his own good and riled up the his peoples' lich leader, Zass [Sass?]Tamm.) Regardless, Hazlik got his revenge a little too hardcore and the evil powers of Ravenloft kidnapped him and gave him his own land, which, like a real queen, he named after himself. So the lesson, don't hate, because revenge gets you presents.
