Top 10 Reasons New Game Consoles Suck
Something riled up ol' Larry C. over at GameDaily this morning, resulting in his fiery list of reasons to skip the modern round of consoles entirely, and cling tight to your N64s and Dreamcasts (as if you needed more reasons). Cost; no good games; "cuteness" - while these are indeed perfectly legitimate reasons why you shouldn't be trying to get your hot little hands on a Xbox360, PS3, or Wii (sounding exactly how my Mom would sound if a 14-year-old me were to ask), there's one vital thing this list is forgetting about the new consoles:

Reading that article made my brain hurt.
i love how he talks about wanting to play with friends... then not wanting to play with friends... he doesn't make sense... he says he is lonely playing ps3 by himself and that playing wii sports alone is sad and that the wii should have online play... then turns around and rags on xbox360 about having online play and not wanting to play co-op on gears of war... hmmmm... he should go into politics
he sure loops around in that article a lot. I want to be able to play with friends, I don't want to play with friends. I want to be online, I don't want to be online. make up your mind already!!
as for no good games, the 360 has been out for a year now, and though I only want Dead Rising, Blue Dragon (when it launches) Lost Planet, and Crackdown, that's pretty darn spiffy sinceI own maybe 8 Xbox games. they've already made up half of the games I bought on the last round. that is some VERY solid improvement, regardless of how unexcited I am about the 360 in general. (no FPS for me, kthxbye.) for my Wii, I have Zelda, Wario Ware, and want to get Metal Slug Collection and Super Paper Mario when it comes out. as for the PS3, well, I guess there he IS right. there's no real software worth speaking of right now. though I do eye Gundam Musou longingly, it aint worth $700.

Seriously terrible article. He's only played the Wii by himself once, and it was boxing? Is this dumbshit the only person in the world who bought a Wii and passed on Twilight Princess? And if so, why are we letting him talk on our internets?
Oh, AND he's a worthless jock heterosexist patriarchy-boosting bum, complaining about the Miis' cuteness like that. "Gaar I need manly-Miis!" So... put a beard on your Mii. It's not Nintendo's fault if you feel immasculated every time you're depicted as NOT beating up a woman.
Well, this list of reasons is a bit, well, kind of dumb at best. Most of the points are trivial at best and they do not justify this person's strong dislike of the newer console systems. Perhaps he needs to get his head out of his ass and do some actual research before ranting again.
Seriously, as a guy who has decided to not touch a "Next Gen" system and just play games on my computer (which, BTW, still has much better hardware than any "Next Gen" system) I tried to find some way to agree with this guy and back him up, but I can not support ignorant drivel of this caliber.

I was trying to be satirical and just post the reasons ONE COULD POSSIBLY, not like a new console. It seems to have gotten a ton of traction and the kids at AOL are pretty fired up.
Seems like he took all the bad points from each console and tries to blanket the whole industry with them. Wtf, generalization.
