UK Wii Owners Get Secret 'Warp Zone' On Virtual Console
Wii owners in the UK have a little lagniappe waiting for them in the form of a secret area on the Virtual Console called the Warp Zone. To access the secret area, download the latest update, then there appears a small text-drawn smiley face on the front page. When clicked, it takes users to the special area. The next page reads:
Welcome to the Warp Zone! ... Congratulations, you've discovered the Virtual Console's hidden area. This is your secret doorway into another dimension; a portal into the past, if you will.
The Warp Zone will house a collection of trivia and facts about Nintendo’s various iconic characters. The first one on the showcase showdown is no other than the enemy-sucking little pink puffball of joy, Kirby.
Nintendo looks like they are collecting a hall of fame, a shrine if you will, dedicated to the characters that endeared millions to their brand name. Hopefully this channel will eventually be available around the world. I like that each global region is getting something different out of their Wiis, from different VC games to various channels. It reinforces the global community aspect of the console. Eventually we will all be able to share features and connect with gamers around the globe.
What would you like to see in the future updates? Any particular gems you are looking to downloadloading? Personally I can’t wait to see the Mother trilogy in English. That will be a cold day in hell. Well, at least give us Earthbound.

HOLY CRAP! i want a VC museum like that on my wii. i love nintendo's history. One of my favorite aspects of smash brothers melee was the figupon collecting that gave you information on the characters background.
i would love a little hall of fame channel for VC that would rock.
Hell yes they should have the Mother series on the Wii! That would be awesome AND totally appropriate as downloadable content.
