Wing Commander: Arena Screens Online
OK, I may despise Electronic Arts for all the microtransactions they've unleashed upon us over the past few months, the way in which they defiled the greatness of Superman Returns and Batman Begins, and the overall mediocrity of their recent titles; I might be willing to overlook all that (or at least forget about the offenses for at least a little while) if they manage to do a decent job with their just-uncovered Wing Commander: Arena.
Some screenshots of the upcoming game have been released, and I have to say I'm reasonably impressed by what they look like, since this is an Xbox Live Arcade title we're talking about. I'm not going to say anything really positive about Arena until I see some gameplay footage, but at least this is a promising start.

I can't forgive EA for their strongarming of smaller third-party publishers, or for their neverending parade of crappy movie tie-in games. Or their horrible treatment of their workers. Or any of a thousand other shady dealings they've made.
That screenshot does look sweet, but I'll probably never play it because EA never gets my money.
At first glance, I thought this was an Xbox 360 Title... At which I scoffed at the graphics. For an Xbox Live ARCADE Title... It actually looks impressive.
