Wing Commander Coming To The 360?
The Wing Commander series is one of those rarities in the gaming world because, well, I'm pretty sure there wasn't a single game that actually sucked. Granted, I missed the first two titles in the franchise, but I remember the other games as being highly enjoyable space combat sims with some well-written scripts that were capable of making Mark Hamill look like a scruffy badass.
It looks like EA is going to provide us with an update to the franchise, based on what Joystiq's uncovered over at the ESRB's website:
Space sim fans may have something else to thrust into their crosshairs this year with a game called "Wing Commander Arena" popping up on the ESRB database. The game, seemingly published by EA for the Xbox 360, is rated "E" for "fantasy violence."
All I have to say is this: make a game as crappy as Superman Returns and Electronic Arts is going to need to up their security since they're practically in my backyard.

wow, a possible revival of space sims? It has been forever since a good one has been around..even though Wing Commander isn't a new game at all. Better than no space sims.
