Xbox 360 Prices Falling in U.K.

Retailers in the United Kingdom have begun to slash prices for the Xbox 360 Core system. They have fallen from GBP 199.99 to GBP 149.99 on Play.com. This move occurred shortly after retailer Makro made the decision to drop the Xbox 360 Premium's price down to GBP 199.99...making it the same price as the Core system at other retailers. GamesIndustry.biz reports that these price-cuts are occurring while the Xbox 360 is still enjoying 'healthy' sales.
GI.biz also reports that Microsoft has given no word that these cuts are official, but that hasn't stopped other retailers form following suit. Amazon.co.uk has also reduced the price of the Core system to GBP 189.99.
So cheers to you folks in the U.K., would be mighty nice if they did that here in the former colonies/U.S. ...and you know, it almost sounds like they are making space for a certain upgraded console. I can feel a Zephyr coming on.
