Bandai Releases New Media For One Piece: Unlimited Adventure
I knew I would love my favorite French gaming site JeuxFrance as soon as I saw that they put the katakana for their name above their site's logo and header. This is a site that truly keeps an eye on the cutting edge of gaming, and that means an awful lot of japanese games. I find this particularly inspiring because Europe, in many cases, gets their games even later than we do in the US, or not at all.
Regardless, they're on top of their 'geemu', because they found some new One Piece: Unlimited Adventure media even before I did. There are only a few new screenshots but they're high quality doozies, with a close look at another major baddie, Sir Crocodile, and an item control system that can't help but remind one of Twilight Princess.
Coming out April 26th in Japan, I'm hesitant to believe that it will be announced for a US release, because I would hate to have my heart crushed. At least 4Kids has renounced it's ownership, leaving Bandai free to do with the game what they will. I would certainly be willing to play a subtitled version of the game, although they would most likely have to get all new dubbing voices (separate from the 4Kids dub that aired on TV) for all of the characters if it is (I hope I hope I hope) eventually announced.
Most importantly, make sure you check out the video at the link. It's the best look at the game yet, and I was absolutely shocked to see that they will be replaying whole scenes from the manga during the game. This really is the One Piece game I always dreamed of. A warning, if you aren't caught up with the series all the way up to the most recent chapters released in Japan, the video is chock full of spoilers.

So, is this yet *another* One Piece fighting game, or will it be an actual game with plot and stuff? If it was a platformer or RPG that would be cool - but if it's yet another Bandai "OO - look, we made yet *another* fighting game with our characters", then I'll sit this one out.
Nice to know my home country got a small (but remarkable) upper-hand move in the gaming news world ;p. Looking forward for that game! But i agree with John Hummel here, please not another fighting game...

I honestly wouldnt' get your hopes up that even if it did come over here, that it wouldn't suck like every other anime game Bandai sucks their way through
