Castlevania Movie NOT In 'Development Hell' After All!

Well, the other day I reported that Paul W.S. Anderson was walking away from the Castlevania movie project. It turns out it was a load of filth and lies! Anderson told IGN Movies that he is still onboard as writer and producer for the upcoming Castlevania movie.
"Both Death Race and Castlevania are set up at Universal," Anderson explains. "The studio wants to make both films, but obviously there is a scheduling conflict which we are trying to resolve. I am very passionate about Castlevania and whatever happens I will remain actively involved in my role as writer and producer."
Anderson's goal is to turn the Castlevania movie into a cult franchise and that the story will be a "fresh take on the Dracula legend." Like Dracula 2000? Let's hope not.
Anderson Still Locked In "Castlevania" [Dark Horizons]

I bet you all 5 bucks that a Belmont is NOT the main character, but Anderson's own Marty or Mary sue, like Alice.

Honestly... I must say I can`t eat as much as I wanna puke when reading this. The Movie is going to be the same Action-Non-Game-like-Crap like Resident Evil -.-°
I still think they really ought to avoid mentioning he also directed "AvP" at all costs...I'd want to keep people from remembering that movie as much as possible if I'd been responsible for making it.
Another cool concept that will be ruined by a PG13 rating.
