God Of War Mystery Site
God of War 2 has been out for a couple of weeks now and the jury has concluded that it’s damn sexy. Production, production, production, the game drips in style. The combat is totally satisfying, with the myriad of attacks at Kratos’ arsenal. It has some of the most impressive visuals on any Playstation 2 game I’ve ever played. The soundtrack is superb and the voice acting is top notch. I’m a fan, and I know there are a few others out there who feel the same.
It seems like there is a little hidden treasure lurking about the Spartan tale. If you nail a 999,999 hit combo, a website address pops up in the combo tally for IslandofRhodes.org. The site features a huge Kratos in the background above a sea of scorched earth and a timer counting down 15 days to some big announcement. Or so it seems.
The announcement could be anything at this point. I'm hoping that they are going to announce a quick follow up with God of War 3 hitting both PS2 and PS3. Now that would be delicious. There are tons of theories floating around right now, but the great equalizer is, we all have Spartan fever. I can’t get enough. Once you go Spartan, you never go back.

I thought you spelled combat wrong...but thats because of Mortal Kombat. It just doesnt look right with the C anymore!
In a statement from the god of war team, david jaffe announced that the countdown has nothing to do with the psp game, so the possibilty of a trailer for the 3rd game is possbile, however he also commented saying that this was something for the "true fans". so i think were still in the dark. have to wait and see :D
Having just finished God of War 2, I'm pretty sure that it has something to do with God of War 3 - Tycus sounds right in saying it may be a trailer for it. I don't want to give anything way, but when you finish the game you'll know what I mean (or at least you'll see why I'm hoping that it is a trailer).
