Greatest. Microsoft. Paint. Use. Ever.
This is, quite possibly, one of the greatest videos I have ever seen... not because of the final product (which looks surprisingly realistic and impressive on its own), but because of the fact that Microsoft Paint was used to achieve that final product. RANDISALBION, known by no other name, posted this video to YouTube and has some other equally impressive videos up on his page (link below) demonstrating his incredible talent with Paint.
If he's this good with Paint, maybe some of us should pool together and buy the poor guy Photoshop or Painter...

The question is why...
I was about to ask the same thing. That seems like an awful amount of work.
He obviously uses a drawing pad of sorts. At his painting skill level, it doesen't really matter whether he draws on paper or in MS paint, the latter being a little more forgiving. Most artists I know draw manually first and use Photoshop only for things like shading, if at all.
In essence, it's the same drawing he would have made on real canvas, but here, he can record it and show it to the world.
I'm not saying this guy or girl isn't talented... but there are ways in which he could be tracing and/or referencing a source image without us seeing it in the video provided. It looks remarkably like PSP Promo shots. Even if he were tracing the image, I'm still impressed.
