It's Official: NiGHTS Sequel In The Works
So remember how ONM was all excited about their upcoming "exclusive"? Yeah, well, guess what? It's not that exclusive anymore. Game Reactor, a magazine out of Sweden, revealed this cover image and are currently hiding beneath the furniture until the rabid fanboys stop trying to hump their legs due to overwhelmingly powerful nergasms.
I can't read Swedish, so if anyone can provide a translation for us we'd be grateful!

How do you know its a sequel and not a re-make?
How do we know it isn't just some big April Fool's joke? ^_^
This is probably nothing more that a stupid April fools joke.
The translation goes something like this:
After writing close to 20 reviewes in our march issue, Petter was done for . We had to force feed him a whole lot of cakes to to start the work on our 46th issue. After about three weeks hard work, were ready to bring you an april issue stuffed with exclusive news and nothing less that 2 huge articles.

The cover is graced, as some of you might saw, by Nights and we can reveal the first news about the dream-demons new game. But Sega didnt want us to show you the cover quite yet, and you have to wait until the magazine hits the stores before we put the picture back up on our site. Untill then, you have to make do with this siluette...
There is a trailer on youtube. It's similar to the original game's opening sequence (with Night's flying over a mountain valley lake). But it distinctly says "NiGHTs 2". The fact that it says "2" is some indicator that it's a true sequel. Unfortunately, it also said "Xbox 360" after ward... which contradicts a prior statement by Yuji Naka where he said that that the Wii was the only system he would consider doing a port / remake for. Who knows though, right?
