Little Big Planet Demo: Vicariously Enjoying GDC '07 Through Video
Unlike certain other cool writers that hail from the GayGamer palace, the Pirate Prince is not at GDC 2007. Le sigh. But don't feel sorry for me, dear readers, because you most likely aren't there either, and well, misery loves company. I expect to see all you miserable geeks at the GayGamer gathering in SF this weekend, so we can cry over beers together. If you're 21.
For us poor shmucks, there is video, which hits the net at such a fast rate nowadays that we might as well have been there, and that can only be a good thing.
One of the coolest things I've heard of (and which has been described in detail already by Tiny Dancer and Super Timsy) is Little Big Planet, which literally must be seen to be believed. So, because I can, I am taking it upon myself to present this amazing video. It's not only the most adorable game I've seen in awhile, it's the most exciting thing I've seen yet for the PS3. It has single handedly created the first actual moment that I've considered buying a PlayStation 3.
Check it out. You won't be sorry.

Loos like a badass.
Me.Want.It.
Suddenly actually wanting a PS3 is an entirely new experience.
Can we get a brief synopsis of what's going on? My speakers are eye-candy only.
If only it wasn't $600. :(
Does anyone know if this game will allow you to play online? I know you can download levels and what not but can a group of people from across the nation get into one level?
I ask this only cause my bf tends not to like to play games like this :)
Essex:
I believe so, if you look at the Playstation Home demonstration, they say you can go straight into games from Home and they use LittleBigPlanet as an example.
it's cute and all, but i'm personally not the type that'll wanna spend hours and hours of my time MAKING a level, and playing it myself. (playing someone else's creations are different thing)
i can see it being so tedious.
Wow! Seeing it in motion proves gets me all hawt and bothered. This is the first time I've ever considered getting a PS3.
Wow...Frelling wow.
Sony is looking a lot better than two months ago. Something else to get addicted to now.
Wow. I'm stunned...the game not only is fantastically original, but it looks beautiful to boot.
This is like something I'd expect from Nintendo, not Sony, which is high praise indeed.
I think this looks brilliant and it's definitely making me consider a ps3 now. If sony can continue publishing games like this, I will be all for the ps3.
