Viva Pinata Demo On Xbox Live Marketplace

VivaPinataGang.jpg

If you are an Xbox 360 owner and haven’t had a chance to play Rare’s Viva Pinata, now is your chance. The demo is available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace. There have been video previews available in the past, but now you can download the 1gig demo, and experience it firsthand.

It is a shame that it took so long for Microsoft to release a proper demo on the Marketplace for this title. I think some people didn’t want to purchase a new game from a new IP for a new system. It seemed doomed from the start. I would recommend trying this game for something completely different on the 360. There are tons of shooters to play, and a few other diversions, but diversity in games is not one of the 360’s strong points. So try it, you might actually like it. Has anyone out there played this game? Well, throw in your two cents and let us know what you think of Viva Pinata.

I'm going to make a shameful admission: I am an avid Animal Crossing junkie, I love having a good Mario Party, and I actually collect Pokemon, so... I thought for sure Viva Pinata would be a shoo-in for a favorite game on the 360 and.... I hated it. There was something just too "Saturday Morning Cartoon" about the game that made me... not love it. I know a lot of people who loved this game (ok, i know a FEW people who loved this game) but even the intro screens made me sort of want to throw something at my TV.

Who knew I'd like Lost Planet more than Viva Pinata?

I bought this game and love playing it. It really is a diversion from the standard 360 fare and is even unique among games on all consoles. I would tell people to pick it up or at least try the demo!

My friends copy has an odd glitch.. certain parts of the sour tower continually vanish. He went to the forums, apparently its a widespread glitch. mmm rareware. no wonder they need to flog the game.

I admit that Viva Pinata has several glitches -- however, RARE is admitted to that and they're working on a patch so all should be well!

Anyways, I love this game. LOVELOVELOVE. Hopefully, said patch will also add more to it as it's really lacking in some parts. So, yes. I recommend picking up this demo: this game is not to be missed.

Well I'm still waiting for more diversity on 360 games.

This was a nice attempt but I'm still waiting for the 'japanese-WTF' factor games like LocoRoco and Katamari had.

I let it download while I walked the dog this morning and then ended up being late to work b/c I spent too long checking it out! The first 1/2 hour I spent with it makes it look pretty cool!

And girls who like girls who like rumble packs!
