8 Bit Retro Gaming, For The Inner ChildGamer Within

There are few things in this world as nostalgic as loading up that old gray NES cartridge. Even that incessant blowing into the bottom (har har), fills me with a longing for the endless hours of youth gone by. So put on some PJs with sockfeet attached at the bottom, grab a juice box and your best pillow fight friend and prepare yourself: Nintendo8.com is providing you with hours, and I by hours I mean days, of 8 bit gaming.
NES games were many things, but more often than not they were tedious affairs, with insane difficulty that could drive you into fits of rage and madness. Having rediscovered some of my old favorites, I'm amazed at the level of skill I attained, as well as the time I was willing to put into these bad boys. Wizards and Warriors, Battle of Olympus (my personal favorite), Little Nemo: The Dream Master and Princess Tomato in Salad Kingdom are just a few of my old killer favorites.
It's sort of a miracle that the site is still online after being brought to attention by digg and now here, but enjoy it while you can, or at least until your favorite game makes it's appearance on the Wii's Virtual Console. And as we all know, that could take place some time in the next Ice Age. Don't say the Pirate Prince never did anything piratical for you.

Battle of Olympus, I LOVED that game. I haven't played it in so long, and I remember it not being one of the easier games of the NES I played either, but very fond memories :)
This reminds me of another site I think you MUST check out, Pirate Prince. It looks like they are both using the same emulator.

PRINCESS TOMATO IN THE SALAD KINGDOM!!! /faint. Pirate I could kiss you for bringing up one of my favorite NES games! If you've never played it, the game is an exercise in ridiculousness. Just remember, HIT, PERCY!
