Be a Real Guitar Hero [UPDATE]
A few weekends ago, I posted an entry about the upcoming Guitar Hero charity auctions, which feature celebrity-customized, PS2 Guitar Hero controllers and benefit MusiCares. Those auctions are now live -- since April 3rd, actually -- but you still have until April 13th to place bids. The list of guitar-makers includes My Chemical Romance, Dashboard Confessional, Tenacious D, Tony Hawk, Nickelback, Paul Frank Industries, Vice Magazine and even the Suicide Girls. Oddly enough, despite all the big celebrities and musicians, the current highest bid is at $480 for a guitar by fictional death metal band Dethklok of the Adult Swim show Metalocalypse (my absolute favorite cartoon right now). They're even beating Tenacious D, currently at $405. Talk about awesome.

I'm kinda shocked that there is a Tony Hawk one up for auction. But good news for Metalocalypse.
