Blue Dragon Anime Footage, At Last!
Well it looks like I have my answer, and it's going to be a beautiful rendition of the video game itself. Since I haven't played it or seen the anime, it is unknown how much it will follow the plot of the video game, but Studio Pierrot has done a masterful job. Akira Toriyama's beautiful character design is fully intact, and seeing them in action (although they looked pretty damn good in the game footage I've seen as well) is quite a joy in and of itself. The blue haired tough pirate looking girl, Zola, is particularly interesting as a character. Seeing the dichotomy of the tough seasoned female fighter with the young inexperienced boy hero is a nice touch. Plus I'm a sucker for a tomboy that knows how to kick some badguy ass while keeping her hair and hoop earrings intact.
The anime will be airing in just a couple of days in Japan, and we have yet to even see the game stateside. Sigh... Anyway, take a peek if you don't mind seeing anything that could potentially end up in the plot of the game, and tell me what you think!

and i might be stating the obvious, but it looks like a HD version of Dragon Ball Z
Am I the only one that thinks the animation is a bit off? I know it's a shonen (and by Studio Pierrot), but I was hoping for better quality than that... D:
