Boom Boom Rocket Video
Our resident technophile Super Timsy reported yesterday that Boom Boom Rocket has finally landed on Xbox Live Arcade. We have been covering this title since Bizarre Creations announced the game a few months ago, and we’ve been waiting for some footage to see this gem in action. This is their second offering to the marketplace after the raging success of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. Now it is waiting for all of you rhythm junkies on the marketplace for 800 points, roughly about $10.
The video showcases the gameplay really well. The camera flies over a cityscape while fireworks launch from the bottom of the screen. The player detonates the rockets to the beat of remixed classical tunes. There are some really great numbers that get a techno treatment for the game. Check it out. It looks like the next must-have download off of XBLA.

I still don't understand all the hype over this game. What is the point? Nobody dies, there are no coins to collect, there's no mana for magic, no bad villians to defeat, no Warthog to drive, no princess to save.
